Important Note
For any application involving processing gas in the furnace, to ensure the safe use of furnace flange, please always install the two stage gas regulator to the cylinder. Read the furnace instruction to understand the pressure rating of each part in the system. Determine and limit the input gas pressure before the operation to avoid overpressure which could cause damages to pressure gauge, needle valve or other fittings. Failure to install gas regulator could cause severe personal injury.
E.g. The max pressure for MTI mechanical gauge (pic below) in the flange is 0.15Mpa (22psi). It may cause pressure gauge broken when higher pressure is applied. Use the gas regulator to limit the input pressure to avoid overpressure.
Installation
1. Connect the gas regulator to the gas Cylinder. Install a 1/4" tube fitting to the outlet of the gas regulator. | 2. Install another 1/4 tube fittings in the flange. Use a 1/4 stainless steel or PTFE tube (low pressure) to connect the gas regulator and flange. NOTE: Make sure the thread type of the 1/4 tube fittings before installation. For most gas regulator in U.S., the 1/4 tube fitting is required to have 1/4 MNPT thread type. For MTI flange system, the 1/4 tube fitting is required to have 1/4 MBSPP thread type. | 3. Finish Installation. |
