Description

Kanthal APM is an advanced powder metallurgical, dispersion strengthened, ferritic iron-chromium-aluminium alloy (FeCrAl alloy) for use at tube temperatures up to 1250°C (2280°F). Advance Features:

  • Good form stability at high temperature
  • Non-scaling surface oxide gives good protection in oxidizing, sulphurous and carburizing furnace environment, as well as against deposits of carbon, ash, etc
Composition 20.5~23.5% Cr; 5.8% Al; Bal. % Fe; %0.4 Mn; %0.7 Si; %0.08 C

Application Notes
  • For longer tube service life, please use alumina, BN or zirconia crucibles to carry samples instead of put loading directly onto the tube. Please click pic.1 in below to choose crucibles.
  • You may need a water cold flange with proper support for the alloy tube due to high thermal conductivity. Please click pic.2 in below to order.
