Description

MSK-T-10S is a  compact die cutter designed for pure lithium precision cutting.
It can be easily placed into a glove box with the antichamber diameter larger than 250mm.
This tool is manually operated and the cutting die lifetime is more than 10,000 times.
The lithium electrode, disc, or ring can be used as an electrode of the split test cell and coin cell as well as TEM sample preparation. MTI has granted the patent 201220296271.2 for the Coin Cell Disc Cutter MSK-T-10 since January 2013.

Application Notes
  • If you are going to make CR2016, CR2025 or/and CR2032 coin cell batteries, you will need at least three cutting dies:
    • 16mm (for negative side case, which is 16.5mm in diameter)
    • 19mm (for positive side case, which is 20mm in diameter)
    • 20 mm (for the separator to fully separate the electrodes in both negative and positive cases)
  • For CR2450 coin cells, a 20mm cutting die can be used for cutting electrode discs and the 24mm cutting die can be used for cutting either electrode discs or separator discs (the 24mm cutting die can be purchased as an optional die)
  • Separator discs must be large enough to fully separate the positive and negative electrodes to avoid short-circuit inside the coin cells
  • Warning: You must pay great attention to install die or change die from one size to another. The tolerance of precision die is very little. Please contact us if you have any questions
  • Misalignment will result in die damage. Please read the operation manual and watch the instruction video carefully when changing the die.  MTI is not responsible for the damage caused by misoperation.  Strongly suggest with buy several cutters with pre-installed die
