Slot Die Head & Coating Width | - The slot die is made of stainless steel (SUS630) for coating thickness from 5μ to 300μ.
- The slot die head is selectable at 30, 50, 100, and 160 mm. Please inform us before purchasing
- Note:
- 30 - 100 mm coating width is achieved by changing the shim size on 100 mm wide slot die head

Shim (Spacer) | - 0.1mm, 0.2mm, 0.3mm, and 0.5mm thick shims are included for producing films with various thicknesses.
- Tip: The thickness of the shim determines the slot opening of the die and thus has a major impact on the final coating thickness. The rule of thumb is that thinner shim will produce the thinner film, vice versa.

Syringe Pump | - One 100 ml syringe pump, made of stainless steel, in a built-in coating machine for feeding slurry
- Slurry feed speed: 0.05 - 5 mm/s adjustable via the control panel
- 250 ml syringe pump is available upon request at the extra cost.

Coating Length | - The coating length depends on the coating width and thickness.
- For example, 30 mm width and 0.2 mm thickness, the coating length can reach 15 meters for 100 ml pump

Coating Thickness & Precision | - Coating thickness: 5 - 300 micron, which is decided by slurry viscosity, feeding speed, and the gap between slot die and substrate. You have to practice by yourselves to find the best parameters.

- Optional: Automatic alignment control with +/-0.01 accuracy at the extra cost
Attention: The final coating thickness is dependent on a wide range of parameters such as slurry viscosity, solid particle size, solid content, shim thickness, foil rolling speed, and slurry feeding rate. Therefore, we are not able to guarantee that a 1-micron level film is achievable for all kinds of slurries. For further discussion, please let us know your slurry specs and coating thickness requirement. |
